Advertising agency TDA adds Director of Strategy and Development |
- Boulder, Colo.,—TDA ADVERTISING & DESIGN, Boulder, has hired Jim Moscou, 41, as director of strategy and development. Responsibilites for the newly created, agency-wide position are both client-facing (planning) and internal (agency development). Most recently, Moscou was senior cog at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Boulder, on the Microsoft and Alliance for Climate Protection (Al Gore) accounts.
Previously, Moscou was a journalist covering the American West for Newsweek and US News & World Report, and before that, an associate and contributing editor at Editor & Publisher magazine in New York City. His work has also appeared in The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, Details, Esquire and other national and regional newspapers and magazines. In 2001/02 Moscou was the American Journalism Fellow at Oxford University, where he researched media and globalization trends. He has also been an instructor at University of Colorado, Boulder School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Moscou holds many journalism awards, including from the National Press Club and the Society for Professional Journalists.
Moscou states, “throughout my career, all my work has been about communicating culture—to track, digest and bring to people insights on trends that really matter and are steeped in truth. TDA understands the value of that research, and the benefit and confidence it will bring clients and their products when jumping into today’s cultural stream.”

Moscou has a B.A. in American Public Policy from Hobart College, Geneva, N.Y., a Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication from University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Fellowship from Oxford University.
